Nepal in the News | Tribhuvan Int. Airport in Fire 🔥 🔥 People are Rushing to Save their Lives.
The airport had to be closed after a fire broke out in a coffin inside the terminal building of the International Airport. The flight had to be closed for more than two hours after the fire started to spread suddenly.
According to an airport official, the fire is a great risk of a major accident. If there was more fire to be spread at the airport, it would have been a risk to the aircraft in the parking lot, not just inside the terminal. Since the Tribhuvan Airport is very narrow, the risk is also very high in such cases.
According to the official, the aircraft was on fire with heavy explosion.
According to an oil corporation source, the corporation's air refueling tanks were near the runway when the fire broke out at the terminal building of the airport. The corporation officials say only if the fire spread and such refueling ignited, it would be a big accident.
"A fire in sensitive areas such as airports cannot be considered standard," says the official, adding that it has made it clear that the physical and electrical security of the airport is clear and safe.
There is also a corporation's aviation fuel depot near the airport. As a result, the airport itself is in great danger.
General Manager of the airport, Devendra Keksi, said that there was no human casualty as the passenger was taken out on time. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire. Police said the fire could have been caused by a lightning strike, but officials neglected their opinion.
According to the KC, the passengers were
moved out of the gate of the runway as soon as the fire started to spread from the waiting room's coffee shop. This type of accident can also lead to other types of accidents. However, the airport had to be careful.
After the passengers were taken out that the fire was put under control. The other aircrafts were kept hold to be landed on the ground when the airport caught fire.
Prem Guragain, personal secretary of the Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation, said that the fire wasnot at the most sensitive place, it was just a normal fire.
He wrote in the tweet, "The fire was caused by an electrical surge in the coffee shop at the airport's Departure Terminal building. It did not cause any human damage. The fire has been controlled by the police and ammunition at the airport. " By (Nepal in the News)
